Your video stays on your device
The browser editor decodes and transcribes imported media locally. This workflow does not upload your source video or transcript to VELAUR, Supabase or Hugging Face.
Google sign-in
Google OAuth through Supabase Auth uses your account identity, email and basic profile to create and restore your app session. The app does not request Gmail, Drive or your Google password. The Supabase client stores session credentials in this browser.
Local drafts and media
Caption words, styles, presets and checkpoints are saved in IndexedDB. Source media is retained only when you opt in. Drafts stay in this browser and do not automatically move between devices. Keep the original video and export a project backup before clearing site data. Browser storage is also separate for each site address. When moving from a previous address, export project backups there, restore them at the new address, and relink your original media.
Optional cloud descriptors
Cloud descriptor sync is off by default. When enabled and configured, it sends project ID, title, duration and update time to Supabase. It does not send original video or transcripts.
Account access and usage records
Supabase stores your account email and display name, last studio visit, access status, job identifiers, media duration and monthly transcription/export reservations. The owner can manage access, limits and shared style presets. Owner changes are recorded in an audit trail. These records do not include your video, audio or transcript.
Service requests
Your browser downloads this app from Cloudflare (or Netlify for legacy deployments), speech models from Hugging Face, and fonts from Google Fonts. Google and Supabase handle authentication. These services receive normal connection information such as IP address and browser details when contacted. The app source contains no advertising or analytics tracker.
Removal and account requests
Signing out does not erase your local drafts. Recently deleted projects can be restored. Clearing this site's browser data removes stored media, presets and drafts. For account or cloud-descriptor removal requests, contact VELAUR LABS through the contact options on velaurlabs.com. Do not include passwords, sign-in codes or private media in an initial request.
Future server-assisted features
The optional remote worker adapter is disabled in the product interface. A future server-assisted workflow would require explicit upload consent and an explanation of processing and retention.
