Using the studio
VELAUR Auto Caption is a creative tool provided by VELAUR LABS. Use it for media you own or have permission to process and publish. You remain responsible for the content you import, edit and export.
Your content and captions
You retain your rights in your source media and creative work. The local browser workflow does not require you to upload your video or transcript to VELAUR. Automated transcription can make mistakes; review captions, timing, names and translations before relying on or publishing them.
Local storage and recovery
Projects are stored in your browser. Browser cleanup, storage eviction, device loss or a different browser can make drafts unavailable. Keep your original media and export project backups. Signing in does not itself back up local projects to the cloud.
Availability and technical limits
Model downloads, transcription speed, supported codecs and export capacity depend on third-party services, your browser and device. Inputs up to three hours are accepted with chunked processing, but completion and long MP4 exports are not guaranteed on every device. Save your draft and try shorter clips when resources are limited.
Accounts and acceptable use
Use your own Google account and protect its credentials. Do not attempt to access other people's accounts, exploit the service, or use it to violate others' rights. No app password, payment card or subscription is required by Auto Caption.
Demo and third-party services
The demo includes VELAUR-branded sample media. Branding inside that sample is part of the source video, not a watermark applied to user exports. Authentication, hosting, fonts and speech-model downloads use third-party services that have their own terms and privacy notices.
